Volunteer information
We're now registering volunteers to help with clean up in Southern Indiana
There are six counties on the FEMA disaster list for the 2012 tornadoes. Catholic Charities Disaster Relief is on the ground inventorying homeowners and business owners needs and coordinating volunteers to help rebuild homes and lives.
We're so grateful that you want to donate your time to help rebuild homes. We need your help to make your time worthwhile and to keep everyone safe:
- Groups need to have at least 5 members: at least 1 trained adult (experience in home repair) per 4 untrained volunteers.
- All volunteers must be over the age of 15. Fifteen-year-olds will need to stay with their parent or youth group representative while on the worksite.
Please remember that you are signing up to volunteer on a construction site in a disaster zone. Your safety is very important to us.
When registering, please let us know the specific dates you are available or if your group can come with only two weeks' notice. Once your trip has been verified with a disaster coordinator, make sure you bring printed and signed copies of the Waiver of Liability for each volunteer.
Thank you for answering the call to care!
