The department was founded in 1964 to offer all Catholic institutions in central and southern Indiana the best products and services and the best prices. (See "Six reasons to use APD")
Archdiocesan Purchasing’s mission is still to assist all Archdiocesan agencies, parishes and schools in becoming better stewards of the treasures they are given by negotiating contracts and providing opportunities to purchase products at discounted prices. In addition, APD also serves other religious not-for-profit organizations. Now, 45 years later, we are making use of technology to further our mission.
APD is a member of Catholic Purchasing Services, a national organization of diocesan purchasing offices. Ours is a national endeavor to deliver quality product at a competitive rate. We are able to do this by pooling the potential volume of customers nationwide. In addition APD negotiates local contracts for a variety of products and services.
APD also has local contracts for janitorial products and equipment, lightbulbs, religious goods,and copiers. Please contact us for a quote!
