SPRED Participant‘We are one body’: Special Religious Development participants enjoy annual retreat
As they carefully mixed and kneaded the bread dough, the Special Religious Development participants and catechists shared stories and laughter on Aug. 29 during the seventh annual archdiocesan SPRED retreat at the Benedict Inn Retreat and Conference Center. The parish-based religious education program for developmentally disabled adults and childre is under the direction of the archdiocesan Office of Catholic Education. (Page 12)

‘Weekend to End Breast Cancer’ logo‘Weekend to End Breast Cancer’ is Sept. 26-27
As soon as she learned about the event, Loree Kaiser knew that her family had to be involved in the first-ever “The Weekend to End Breast Cancer.” With four generations of her family touched by the disease, Kaiser and 16 relatives have formed a team to join the thousands of women and men who are expected to participate in the two-day, fundraising event on Sept. 26-27 that is being organized by the St. Vincent Foundation.
