Young Adults‘Universal Call to Holiness’: New archdiocesan initiative aims to help young adults connect with their faith
Father Rick Nagel and Mary Schaffner have traveled to different college campuses this fall as the leaders of a renewed archdiocesan effort to connect with young people. Since they started the revived effort on July 1 at the request of Archbishop Daniel M. Buechlein, the two have listened to the hopes, concerns and stories of college students and young adults, wanting to know what place the Church has in their lives and what the archdiocese can do to make the connection closer. Celebration marks generosity of Catholics in southern Indiana
On a beautiful fall evening marked by crisp autumn air, a crystal clear sky and colorful leaves, Catholics from across southern Indiana gathered on Oct. 28 with Archbishop Daniel M. Buechlein at Huber’s Winery in Clark County to celebrate the success of the Legacy for Our Mission: For Our Children and the Future capital stewardship campaign. (Page 3)

Cardinal Ritter childhood homeArchbishop Buechlein blesses restoration project at Cardinal Ritter center in New Albany
Archbishop Daniel M. Buechlein traveled to New Albany on Oct. 28 to bless the restoration project of the childhood home of Joseph E. Ritter, the archbishop of Indianapolis until 1946 who was made archbishop of St. Louis and later, in 1961, a cardinal. Dozens of the restoration’s supporters were in attendance. (Page 1)
