Sisters on the air

In this photo from August 1952, members of the Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods serving as grade school teachers attend a summer course in radio education and script writing at the order’s Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. The course was created to meet the needs of sisters who had been asked, as part of their teaching assignments, to develop educational material for children to be broadcast on radio. This photo originally appeared in the Terre Haute TribuneStar.
