Archbishop Tobin reflects on the importance of reaching out to teenagers and young adults influenced by a secular society

In Conversation with Archbishop Tobin logo“One of the more interesting stories that has always fascinated me is from the Gospel of John. Jesus begins with a question to these people who were tagging along behind him: ‘What are you looking for?’ It’s only at the end of the Gospel that he says, ‘Come follow me.’ I think what the Church would like to do in a secular society is say, ‘What are you looking for? What do you really want to get out of life?’ And then the Church would say, ‘You certainly can find it with us and more than you ever expected.’ ” †
