Programs - Counseling
The purpose of the Counseling Program is to make counseling services more accessible to individuals and families. Whether the problems are personal, marital, stress, or job-related, we work with clients to enhance and improve their mental well-being. Referred clients are often struggling with individual, relational, family, behavioral and/or mental health issues, which put them at risk for functioning in their environment. Clients participate in determining their therapeutic goals and are encouraged to build upon present strengths and learn new skills to work towards positive change. Counseling services are offered on a sliding scale fee, which is based on the household income.
To make an appointment contact Samantha "Sammy" McDaniel at smcdaniel@stelizabethcatholiccharities.org or call 812-949-7305.
Referrals come from a variety of sources including: local priests, mental health providers, schools, hospitals, crisis pregnancy centers, previous clients, and self-referrals. Referrals will go first to our in-house therapist, if available. There are currently two Licensed Clinical Social Worker Therapists who are taking new clients. Services are offered to clients Monday through Friday, with some evening sessions available.
