Administrative Staff

  • Mark Casper-Agency Director (since 2008)
    • Mark Casper joined St. Elizabeth-Catholic Charities in 2008 after previously serving as a council member. Mark is a graduate of the University of Louisville.  He has more than 20 years of experience in human resources, customer service, accounting, quality, purchasing and planning.  Mark takes pride in working to make sure the agency practices good stewardship of the gifts we utilize to meet the needs of the local community. Click here to email Mark.
  • Chris Robertson - Office Manager (since 2004) 
    • Chris Robertson works with our programs handling all billing, maintaining our donor database, supervising the reception area and volunteers, and assists with event planning and preparation. Click here to email Chris
  • Karen W. Gutman - Accountant (Since 2010)
    • Karen graduated from the University of Louisville and has worked in the accounting field for over 25 years. Karen is responsible for daily accounting services and financial reporting for St. Elizabeth. Click here to email Karen.
  • Leslea Townsend-Cronin, MSSW, LCSW - Director of Social Services (Since 2010) 
    • Leslea received her Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville Kent School of Social Work in 2005 and received her clinical license for Indiana and Kentucky in 2007. Leslea is responsible for overseeing eight social service programs, providing clinical supervision to staff and students, and maintaining collaborative efforts with community networks. Click here to email Leslea
  • Danielle Archer - Development Director (Since 2012)
    • Danielle is a lifelong resident of Southern Indiana. She is a graduate of Indiana University with a B.A. in Psychology. She started her professional career working in social services for the New Albany Floyd County School System. She then made a career change and focused on event planning. Most recently Danielle worked at Special Olympics Kentucky where she managed grants and individual giving. Click here to email Danielle.

Counseling and Residential

  • Katie Owens, MSSW, LCSW-Residential Director (since 2010)
    • Katie Owens earned her Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville Kent School of Social Work in 2008. Katie has been working at St. Elizabeth-Catholic Charities since 2008 as the adoption specialist. Katie continues to handle the adoptions as well as being responsible for accepting all new clients, oversees residential and outreach counseling, as well as the supervision of the case manager and house parents.   • Emily Shelley, MSSW, CSW - Residential and Adoption Specialist (since 2011)
    • Emily earned her Masters of Science in Social Work with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Louisville Kent School of Social Work in 2011. Emily joined the staff at St. Elizabeth-Catholic Charities in April of 2011, providing case management services for our clients. Emily has worked with children and families in various mental health settings for the past three years. Click here to email Emily.
  • Samantha "Sammy" McDaniel, MSW, LSW - Therapist (since 2011)
    • Sammy earned her Masters of Science of Social Work from the University of Illinios at Urbana-Champaign in 2009. Sammy has worked in the field of social work for the last four years and has worked with people who have addictions issues, mental health issues, trauma issues, crisis interventions, and homeless shelters for families. House Parents

House Parents are responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the residents in the maternity and transitional homes. They compassionately teach life skills, responsibility and a stronger sense of self through improved mental, physical and emotional health.

Adoption

  • Kim Grantz-CASA Program Director (since 1994)
    • Kim is responsible for overseeing all court cases as well as volunteer recruitment and training.  Kim currently serves on the Indiana Supreme Court Advisory Commission.  Click here to email Kim.
  • Anne Terrell-CASA Volunteer Coordinator for Washington County (since 2010)
    • Anne has served as a CASA volunteer for several years and brings a lot of experience in how the volunteer process works and is now employed with the agency as our volunteer coordinator in Washington County.  Click here to email Anne.

Supported Living

  • Vickie Lucas- Supported Living Director, QMRP, BA- (since 2010)
    • Vickie received her Bachelor's of Arts from Indiana University Bloomington in 2007. She has a Minor in Human Development and Family Studies, as well as a Minor in Religious Studies. Vickie is responsible for administering our program that assists developmentally-delayed adults with living independently and remaining self-sufficient. She also coordinates the Supervised Visitation Program and is the liason with the Floyd County Court in providing a safe environment for children and their non-custodial parents to visit.   • Alaina Mattingly-Supported Living Assistant Director, BA-(since 2010)
    • Alaina graduated from IUS with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in May 2008. She joined our Supported Living staff in August 2009 as a Supported Living Supervisor and became the Assistant Director in July of 2010. Alaina is responsible for hands on field work with clients who have mental and/or physical disabilities. She helps her clients in Supported Living access the community to the best of their abilities and reach their full potential. Click here to email Alaina.

Supported Living Supervisors

The Supported Living Supervisors provide care and assistance to adults with developmental disabilities in our community. Compassion for each individuals' needs combined with  respect and recognition of personal strengths make this program a true benefit for all those served.
