About the Role

Scecina Memorial High School seeks a dynamic Director of Marketing Communications to lead and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy. This position plays a critical role in advancing the school’s mission by driving student recruitment and retention, enhancing the school’s image, and supporting financial development initiatives.
The Director will manage the school’s website, oversee social media presence, produce key publications, and ensure consistent branding across all platforms. This individual will collaborate closely with leadership and serve on the Enrollment Management and Marketing Communications Committee.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Communications

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive marketing communications plan to support enrollment, development, and brand image goals.
  • Ensure consistent use of approved branding elements across all materials.
  • Manage and publish school communications, including newsletters, magazines, and special announcements.
  • Oversee the school website and social media accounts, ensuring timely and engaging content.
  • Create video and digital content to promote enrollment and development initiatives.
  • Produce feature stories highlighting alumni, students, staff, and community members.
  • Maintain visibility in parish bulletins and local media outlets.
  • Provide monthly engagement reports to the President.
  • Manage sponsorships for parish and community events.
  • Develop and monitor the annual marketing communications budget.

Enrollment Management

  • Collaborate with the President and Director of Admissions to create communication strategies that guide prospective students through the enrollment journey.
  • Produce recruitment materials and manage digital marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain and update East Deanery school flatscreen content.
  • Oversee publication of the Unbound newsletter for prospective students.
  • Manage Scecina’s Niche profile and implement strategies to achieve an A rating.

Development Support

  • Partner with the President and Development Team to create and execute communication plans that meet fundraising and participation goals.

Qualifications

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or related field preferred.
  • Strong commitment to the mission of Catholic education.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and editing skills.
  • Experience in social media marketing and digital strategy.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.

Education & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license.
  • Successful completion of Archdiocese of Indianapolis Code of Conduct and Child Safety Training.
  • Background screening required.
