Seasonal Laborer

Location: St. Mary Parish, Greensburg, IN

St. Mary’s Parish is seeking a reliable and hardworking Seasonal Laborer to assist with general maintenance duties across the parish campus, including the school, church, rectory, and grounds. This position plays a key role in supporting the upkeep, cleanliness, and safety of our facilities during the summer or seasonal period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as:
• Moving and rearranging furniture
• Stripping and waxing floors
• Landscaping and groundskeeping
• Trash collection and disposal
• Assist with setup and cleanup for parish and school events
• Operate basic maintenance tools and equipment
• Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support parish operations

Qualifications:

• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
• Ability to follow instructions and manage multiple tasks
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Supportive of the mission and values of the Catholic Church
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
• Background check required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must complete Archdiocese of Indianapolis Child Safety Training upon hire
• Must adhere to the Archdiocese of Indianapolis Code of Conduct

Working Conditions:

This position requires physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods. Work will be performed both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather.
