St. Ann Parish, Indianapolis, Indiana, a bilingual (Spanish/English) community, is accepting applications for the part-time position of Coordinator of Faith Formation, twenty-five hours per week, for children and adolescents and adults. Primary responsibilities: Develops/Coordinates Catechists to support the religious/faith formation programs. Oversee the Sunday religious formation program (pre-K-8th grade) students. Sacramental preparation for children enrolled in Sunday religious education (first reconciliation, first communion and confirmation). Oversees the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults, the Quinceañera preparation and the summer Vacation Bible School. Additionally, coordinate adult faith formation opportunities with the Director of Liturgy and the pastor. Salary will be commensurate with experience and education.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • The Director of Faith Formation should be a practicing Catholic with knowledge of the Church’s teachings, liturgy, and structure.
  • Minimum education is high school diploma with some college preferred
  • An ideal bilingual candidate will have experience as a teacher or catechist
  • Experience with administration, especially working with volunteers and program planning.
  • Willingness to learn and implement the policies, procedures, and curriculum of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis.
