Adoption Assistance

Families are important. And so many children need families.

Adoption is a wonderful opportunity to grow your family, and we want to help by assisting with the costs of adoption.

To be eligible for this benefit, employees must:

  • have worked for us for one year
  • be at least age 21
  • be eligible for our health insurance plan and
  • complete a home study from an agency of Catholic Charities in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis (required)

For eligible employees who are adopting children, we provide up to $8,000 reimbursement to help pay for adoption expenses. If you are adopting a special needs child, we provide up to $10,000 reimbursement. These benefits may be taxable; please consult your tax advisor.

To submit for reimbursement, send contact human resources at hr@archindy.org to obtain the necessary forms.

In order to receive the reimbursement, you must be:

  • a current employee at the time the adoption became official (as indicated on the official paperwork) and at the time it’s to be paid
  • a benefit-eligible employee at the time the adoption became official and at the time it’s to be paid
