Health Reimbursement Account - HRA

The Health Reimbursement Account is for employees on the HDHP that will be 65 years or older during the plan year.

If you will be 65 anytime during the plan year, you will be auto-enrolled in the HRA. The HRA is administered by Health Equity.

How does the HRA work?

  • Employer only contributions
    • Single medical plan $46.16 per pay
    • Family medical plan $92.32 per pay
  • Employee cannot contribute per IRS
  • Employees will receive a debit card to access their funds
  • Documentation must be provided to substantiate spend
  • Funds roll over year after year. There is no use it or lose it.

Not 65 yet and still wanting to contribute to your HSA?

If you are enrolled in the HRA but have not yet turned 65, you can still contribute to your Health Savings Account. You will need to work directly with Health Equity to contribute.

You cannot continue to contribute via payroll dedcutions.
