Year of Faith in archdiocese capped by release of faith-sharing resource

Young familyWith the end of the Year of Faith a little more than a week away on Nov. 24, the fruit of meetings held in parishes across central and southern Indiana can be seen in a new resource of the archdiocese that is intended to help Catholics learn more about their faith and share it with others: “10 Things We Want You to Know about the Catholic Faith.” The resource in various formats can be viewed both in English and in Spanish. Madison family business wins challenge to HHS mandate

Grote familyA Catholic family in Madison that owns a vehicle lighting manufacturing company won an important religious liberty victory in a Nov. 8 ruling handed down by a three-judge panel of the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago. The rulling said that members of the Grote family & Grote Industries, cannot be compelled to provide abortion-inducing drugs, sterilizations & contraceptives to their employees in their company health plan—a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ mandate that is a part of the Affordable Care Act. (Page 1)
