Mary and Jesus

We are glad you are participating in “Parenting: Strengths and Love with an Emotional Focus.”  This 4-part video-based series brings together evidence-based practice and research to help you become the best parent you can be!  While not a comprehensive program, we do explore  Pope Francis’ Amoris Laetitia, John Gottman’s Emotion Coaching, Gary Chapman’s 5 Love Languages for Children, and Gallup’s Strengths Based Parenting: Developing Your Children’s Innate Talents.  There is no purchase necessary to participate in this program.  We highly encourage everyone to read the materials this program is based on, but it is not necessary for participation in this program.  At minimum, we suggest you take the Clifton Strength’s Finder for parents which you can do by clicking here or visiting the resource link below. There are two stand-alone videos on Internet Safety and Parenting During and After Divorce.

This program can work in small group settings, as a parish program, or can be done in the comfort of your own home or office.  We do encourage community as well as sharing this program with other parents in your community.   Along with each video, there is a Study Guide as well as an evaluation that only takes a moment to fill out.  We review the evaluation compilations regularly, and hope you will provide honest feedback as we continue to develop programming to support marriage and family life.
