Comments section information

Certain news stories, both world and local, will have a link where readers can go to post and read comments about the story. Readers may also posted comments about any story or event that they've seen in The Criterion in our general comment section here.

The comment section will, for the time being, function by readers sending an e-mail to bevans@archindy.org which may be posted as time permits. The comments that are posted will follow our policy that is currently in place for letters to the editor (that policy appears at the bottom of this page).

The goal is to increase the discussion of Catholic events and themes among the readership of The Criterion and to do so in a speedier manner than the letters that appear in the print edition of the newspaper.

Comments will be posted as often as possible during business hours, and a couple of times a day otherwise.

Comments policy:

Comments from readers are welcome and should be informed, relevant, well-expressed, concise, temperate in tone, courteous and respectful.

The editors reserve the right to select and edit the letters based on space limitations, pastoral sensitivity and content.

Letters must be signed, but, for serious reasons, names may be withheld.
