A witness to mystery. That is how Archbishop Daniel M. Buechlein described Bishop-designate Christopher J. Coyne in a homily that he delivered just minutes before he ordained the former priest from the Boston Archdiocese as the first auxiliary bishop for the Church in central and southern Indiana since 1933. As planning gets under way for parish and school fundraising events, some organizations are dealing with a challenge from a law passed in 2009. That change and new rules from the Indiana Gaming Commission have made running charitable events cumbersome and, in some cases, are causing a significant reduction in fundraising. (Page 3)
