My Journey to God

SILENCE

I stand in the silence of the new fallen snow,
Nothin’ to hear but the cries of my soul.
Searching for God in the stillness so pure,
Knowing he’s here, but not quite sure
How to express myself to Ultimate Truth,
Stammering and shaking as if I need proof.
But I feel more than see his presence here,
Drawing me close and pulling me near
To a love so immense, so deep and sincere
That I forget what it was I thought to fear
As I stand in the silence of the new fallen snow,
With nothin’ to hear but the joy in my soul.
