Lasting Love

We have so much to gain,
Likewise so much to lose.
The world holds every key
No matter what we choose.

All that glitters tempts us,
But look beyond the shine.
Will it last forever
As will the bread and wine?

What promise holds the proof
Of its longevity—
His death upon the cross,
His living guarantee.
