My Journey to God

Refueled

Soft embers of complacency
fanned into flames
intense
consuming
burning within
permeating my whole being
so real it actually hurts
creates a heartache
not previously known.

My heart aches for YOU, God,
it leaps within me
fueled by the beauty of Your creation,
Your creatures,
Your Word …
and of my own beauty
which You continue
to reflect back to me.
