Programs -- Seniors, Children & Family Support

John Paul Center Words on Wheels

Catholic Charities, in conjunction with the Tell City – Perry County Public Library, delivers library books to the citizens of Perry County who are unable to visit the public library themselves due to being confined to their homes or without transportation. Volunteers are needed to deliver library books and offer companionship.

Ministry of Consolation

Bereavement support groups throughout the year help our grieving neighbors cope with the loss of a loved one on a daily basis. Workshops to deal with grief during the holidays are also held.

Strengthening Families

Trained facilitators work with parents and youth in a research-proven program that enables families to gain skills which allow for better communication and a stronger home life.

Children Programs

All children are precious and deserve to live in an environment that nurtures healthy, happy children. From assisting with local foster care programs to promoting better parenting skills, Catholic Charities is involved in several community coalitions to take care of our children.

Financial Assistance

Catholic Charities coordinates with other community agencies to provide to provide limited, temporary emergency assistance for those struggling to meet financial obligations. Efforts are made to refer these individuals and families to agencies that can provide a more permanent, stable solution.
