5th Annual Archdiocesan Morning with Mary

Morning with Mary information

Join our Novena from October 1-9 here!

Join Archbishop Charles C. Thompson for the archdiocese’s fifth annual “Morning with Mary” event at St. Jude Church, 5353 McFarland Road, in Indianapolis, from 9 a.m.-noon on Oct. 10.

This will be the fifth year that the archdiocese has offered the Morning with Mary. The morning of prayer and praise always takes place in October, which the Church celebrates as the Month of the Holy Rosary.

Bilingual singer, musician and speaker Carlos Roberto Ramirez from Laredo, Texas, will lead participants in song and prayer throughout the event. Both Ramirez and his father will offer witness talks on how precious a devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary is for disciples of Christ.

Archbishop Charles C. Thompson will also be on hand to lead a Marian procession, preside over morning prayer and bless rosaries.

With the pandemic, economic distress and racial unrest going on in the world, there will be a special focus this year on intercession through Mary, Undoer of Knots. In light of that, people are invited to pray a novena to Mary under this title, starting on Oct. 1 and ending on Oct. 9, the day before the Morning with Mary.

The Morning with Mary is free, although registration is requested for planning purposes in arranging for socially-distanced seating. Masks will be required for this event.

Mary, Undoer of KnotsIn anticipation of the 5th Annual Morning with Mary event, the Archdiocese of Indianapolis will begin a nine-day novena starting on Oct. 1st.  Since his first year as pontiff, Pope Francis has encouraged a particular devotion to Mary, Undoer of Knots.  In that same spirit, we turn to Mary’s intercession to undo the knots of discord and unrest that persist in our communities and in our world.  Please join us in prayer each day on facebook, Instagram or www.archindy.org/morningwithmary starting on Oct. 1st.  And for more information on the upcoming Morning with Mary event on Oct. 10th, please visit www.archindy.org/morningwithmary or https://www.facebook.com/events/362126114952435
