My Journey to God

Mary: The Lord’s Servant

A young woman dwelling in Nazareth
a lowly city of Galilee,
Was chosen by God to be
the Messiah’s mother for eternity.

The possessor of God’s grace
and gifted with strong faith,
She was fortified to receive
the words that Gabriel saith.

Greeted by Gabriel as “full of grace”
in the eyes of God,
She must have been surprised,
contemplative and awed.

No one in history had ever
been greeted like this before,
Answering, “I am the Lord’s servant”
she opened the door.
