Celebrating the Sacraments

In what ways does the United Catholic Appeal provide financial support to celebrating the sacraments?

Clergy Retirement
Provides retirement benefits and support for the care of more than 40 retired priests while also helping to fully fund the Clergy Retirement Fund that will serve all archdiocesan priests who have faithfully served the archdiocese.

Clergy Sabbaticals, Studies & Retreats
Provides educational classes, retreats and meetings for priests and assists parishes and clergy with the cost of sabbaticals.

Diaconate Formation
Supports discernment sessions and the formation process for the 21 men who are currently candidates in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis deaconate program.

Seminarian Education & Programs
Supports the education, programs and activities of the more than 20 seminarians attending Bishop Simon Bruté College, Saint Meinrad Seminary & School of Theology, and the Pontifical North American College.

Doesn’t a special collection raise funding for these needs?”  Special collections do help to fund the needs associated with seminarian education, but more funding is necessary.  The United Catholic Appeal assists in filling the gap – your generosity makes this possible.
