Crisis pregnancy

Birthline baby logoIf you find yourself in an unexpected pregnancy and need help, we can help you

If you are in the Indianapolis area please call Birthline at 317-635-4808 or the Gabriel Project at 1-877-734-2444 to receive help from an "angel."

Birthline is a service for pregnant women in crisis and young mothers who have recently given birth.

Through a network of volunteers, pregnant women experiencing crisis pregnancies receive immediate assistance on the telephone.  Trained telephone counselors take the time to talk to the women and comfort them in their distress, while at the same time encouraging them to choose life for themselves and their unborn children.

The volunteers often refer the women to outside agencies that are able to help them cope with the financial, emotional, and spiritual issues that need to be addressed during a pregnancy.

Birthline volunteers also welcome new mothers who stand in need of  material assistance.  Layettes are prepared and distributed to these women in the Catholic Center on Mondays and Wednesdays by appointment only. Referrals are needed.

Birthline offers the alternative to abortion. It is staffed by trained volunteers and is free and confidential. Birthline is an outreach ministry for women and their babies that provides either directly, or makes referrals for, pregnancy testing, shelter homes, community resource information, medical counseling, legal counseling, educational counseling and many other resources depending upon your particular circumstance. Birthline also provides layettes and the other "necessities" needed for your baby.

The Gabriel Project of Indiana embraces women and their families in crisis pregnancies. As the Angel Gabriel brought the Good News of salvation to Mary, so, too, Gabriel Angels bring the good news of hope, love and caring to mothers-to-be. Trained volunteers called "Angels" offer spiritual guidance and emotional support as well as practical help when necessary. They counsel and encourage the mothers and drive them on errands or to pre-natal appointments.
