About the Convention

The 2008 NCEA Annual Convention Exposition and NPCD Religious Education Convocation

People from our fifty states, territories, and Canada will gather together from March 25-27, 2008 to celebrate liturgies, listen to powerful speakers, and share ideas with other educators. Three days of sessions will provide opportunities for all participants to find a session that fits their needs and their ministry.

We want everyone who attends these three days during Easter Week to come away with a new attitude, energy, and desire to go back to their home parishes revitalized and ready to share the Good News they have experienced at NCEA Indy.

• Monday, March 24 -- Free Tours of St. John the Evangelist Church located across the street the from the Convention Center on Capitol Avenue. Historic St. John's is the oldest Catholic parish in Indianapolis and the former Pro-Cathedral. The 45 minute tours begin in front of the church at 2:00pm, 4:00pm and 6:00pm. No reservations are necessary.
• Wednesday, March 26 Health Day: Delegates will be able to “travel” through a model heart and learn how to be more heart-healthy courtesy of St. Vincent and St. Francis Hospitals of Indianapolis in the 500 Ballroom. Education classes will address chronic health concerns, stress and wellness. Free health screenings will be offered and participants will also be invited to donate blood 9:00AM-4:00PM in the 500 ballroom for the Indiana Blood Center.
• Musical Performances by archdiocesan student musicians at the Indianapolis ArtsGarden, Circle Center Mall, at Illinois and Washington Streets from 4:00-6:00pm on March 26 and 27.
