Pre-Cana Marriage Preparation Retreat

“On the third day, there was a wedding in Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding.” -John 2:1-2

Update for 2021: All engaged couples are being directed to online marriage preparation options for the rest of 2020 until summer of 2021.

With the uncertain nature of group gatherings in our current health climate, we've had to cancel a number of retreats at short notice. At this point, we are taking a break from live events to focus on training staff and preparing to host live events again in summer 2021.

Couples should do the online Pre-Cana which fulfills all requirements, or check for live retreats offered through "One in Christ" or "Tobit".

More information on all these options is available at: http://www.archindy.org/marriageandfamily/marriage.html

Do I have what it takes to create a joy-filled, lifelong marriage?

If you have found this page, you are probably looking to get married in the Church. We are so happy to have you, and we congratulate you on your decision!

Being married in the Church is no small thing; it may seem like so much is being asked of you with a marriage prep retreat, meeting with a priest, planning your wedding, and not to mention planning your future together…

Here’s the honest truth:  The Catholic Church wants your marriage to be FULL OF JOY and LAST A LIFETIME.

The question is, do you?

Offered by the Office of Marriage and Family Life, the Pre-Cana retreat is a one-day retreat for engaged couples to listen, discuss, and plan how to form and maintain a marriage that withstands the test of time and satisfies the desires the heart.

Does God really have a plan for my marriage?

Many couples do not realize that God has a plan for what marriage should be and that following God’s plan for marriage is the way to a lifetime of marital bliss.

Utilizing Ascension Press’ Joy-Filled Marriage Program and led by married couples, priests, and professionals, the Pre-Cana retreat instructs engaged couples on the theology of marriage, the Catholic Church’s teachings on human sexuality, and the practical life skills and virtues necessary to fortify their marriage. By engaging in these topics, couples will have a greater understanding of the Church’s teachings on marriage and how living out God’s plan for marriage is the KEY to a joy-filled marriage.
