Meditation and prayer find encouragement; resting in God and being renewed in the Spirit are the instruments of the peace we offer. In the quiet of the woods, the contemplative walk of the labyrinth, the serenity of the Rosary Walk & Prayer Garden, the solitude of your room, or the peacefulness of the chapel, you can discover the gift of God's presence in the stillness of your heart.

Conveniently located in the heart of the Midwest in Indianapolis, Indiana, we offer a place set apart from the distractions of the outside world-13 acres of serenity in the city. Join us for one of our retreats or programs, host your own retreat here, or come for a day of silence or private retreat. Experience the comfort and Christian hospitality that is Our Lady of Fatima Retreat House!

Letter from Father Farrell:

Dear Friends,                     November 18, 2015

As part of our Fatima family I wanted to make you aware of an announcement that we recently made at our Fatima Gala.  Sandy Pasotti our Associate Director of Guest Services and Operations has informed us of her decision to leave Fatima and accept a position at Providence Cristo Rey High School.

Sandy came to Fatima 11 ½ years ago from Bishop Chatard High School.  Soon after arriving she immersed herself into every aspect of Fatima’s ministry of spiritual renewal.  With energy that seemed inexhaustible, she learned about the various retreat experiences offered and hosted at Fatima.  She made many friends who were from the many hosted groups that arranged to hold their retreats here at Fatima.  Sandy often seemed to work wonders finding just the right time slot for most of the groups who called.  Sometimes a caller would need to be redirected to another retreat facility.

Sandy built strong alliances with many of our friends, volunteers and benefactors.  She held herself to a high standard of professional excellence and integrity.  She was a positive role model to others who have come to work here through the years.

I want to share with you these words from her ….

About two months ago, I was invited to consider an opportunity to serve our local Catholic church in a new capacity. With the help, input and support of my husband and sons as well as Fr. Jim Farrell, Fr. Pat Beidelman and a few close family members and friends, I began a discernment of this opportunity. After many hours of prayer and conversation as well as being open to the stirrings of the Holy Spirit, I have decided to take a position as the Associate Director of Development and Events at Providence Cristo Rey High School on the near west side of Indianapolis. I will begin in the early spring of next year.

For those who are unfamiliar with Providence Cristo Rey, it is a college preparatory school with a network of 30 schools across the country.  Their mission is to offer a ‘rigorous academic experience coupled with real world work experiences’ every week throughout four years of study in order to prepare these underrepresented students for success in college and in life. This mission has always struck a chord with both me and my husband, Dave. We have supported PCRHS for almost nine years now since they opened here in the city. They do amazing work.

I am excited for this new opportunity ahead of me, and I do believe it is where I am being called. At the same time, it is always difficult to leave a place where friendships and strong connections are made and where I have tried to use my gifts to the best of my ability to support a critical and important ministry for those in our archdiocese and beyond.

Cheryl McSweeney will be assuming all of the hosted group responsibilities during both this transition period over the next 3-4 months and beyond. Many of you know Cheryl but for those of you who do not, you will be in good hands. Cheryl is the Associate Director of Programs here and has been with us for about 11 years.

I thank you all for the blessing of knowing each of you. You are the best part of my job here at Fatima!

With Much Gratitude
Sandy Pasotti

I am deeply grateful for the good stewardship Sandy has exercised over her responsibilities here at Fatima.  While we will miss her and miss her contribution to Fatima we do wish her well and have every confidence that she will make a substantial contribution to Providence Cristo Rey High School.  Fortunately,  Sandy will continue to share in the mission of the Church in Central and Southern Indiana and for that we give t hanks.

A search has begun for a new person to step into these responsibilities at Fatima.  Details will be forthcoming about how all that will play out as we move forward.

Please pray for Sandy, Fatima and Providence Cristo Rey during this time of transition.
