Marriage Preparation: Pre-Cana Conference
Overview:
As an engaged couple, your priest may ask you to attend one Pre Cana session prior to your wedding on a date selected by you based on the options below.
The program is offered with two options.
- Option One occurs Sunday afternoons from 1:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Indianapolis time).
- Option Two has limited availability but provides the same topics presented over three evenings from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m. YOU MUST ATTEND ALL SESSIONS FOR OPTION TWO.
Both options take place at Our Lady of Fatima Retreat House, 5353 East 56th Street, Indianapolis, which is located on 56th St., between Fall Creek Blvd. and I-465 North (Exit #40), just east of Cathedral High School.
The Office of Catholic Education and Office Family Ministries of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis sponsor this program, and Fatima Retreat House oversees the registration process. The fees charged are non-refundable and help pay for the materials and refreshments.. Volunteer couples, priests and other professionals will facilitate by sharing their experience and knowledge of Christian Marriage. Couples have the opportunity to interact throughout the session(s), and you will receive a workbook.
Date Choices and Assignments
Once you have paid your registration fee, you will receive a confirmation email assigning you to one of the choices you have submitted. It is rare to not receive your first choice, but conferences fill up quickly, and some priority is given after a certain point to couples whose wedding dates are before the next conference, rather than the initial “first come, first served.”
