My Journey to God

Fruits of the (Pentecost) Spirit

Soft embers of complacency
fanned into flames
intense …
consuming …
burning within …
permeating my whole being,
so real it actually hurts,
creates a heartache
not previously known.
My heart aches for YOU, God.
It leaps within me,
fueled by the beauty of Your creation,
Your creatures,
Your Word …
and of my own beauty
which You continue
to reflect back to me.
