My Journey to God

Caught in the Game

Like a chameleon,
we move,
swift and slow,
changing colors as
we go.

We don coats
of many
colors to survive,
pretend and
stalk our prey.

The color of
righteousness blinds
us to compassion.
The color of
generosity disguises
our greed.

We move through
life camouflaged,
busy changing colors.
We are
captured by our
own deceit.

Truth breathes our
name, urging,
calling, but we
choose to play
the game!
