My Journey to God

Poet, What Do You Say?

Poet, what do you say?

I say the world does not need
Another poem about saying “Goodbye,”
So a “Goodbye” poem
I shall never write.

Ah, but poems about Love—
Now those the world can
Never have enough of.

So while it is true
That you are leaving us,
It is not “Goodbye” I’ll say,
But rather that you are loved.
