Archdiocese is in full compliance with
sex abuse charter

The Archdiocese of Indianapolis is in full compliance with the U.S. Church’s “Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People”—the document that sets forth requirements for dioceses to address the problem of sexual abuse of minors.

“We’re pleased to report that the Archdiocese of Indianapolis was again found to be in full compliance,” said Archbishop Daniel M. Buechlein regarding the results of a nationwide, independent audit of dioceses released Feb. 18 in Washington . “During the audit, which was conducted Nov. 1-4, two auditors examined archdiocesan records and conducted interviews to determine whether the archdiocese was in compliance with the 17 articles contained in the charter.
