St. Philip Neri School
St. Philip Neri School located at 545 Eastern Avenue was established in 1910, approximately six months after the dedication of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church.
Originally, the school was housed in the Convent building on Rural Street. The parish began to grow very rapidly and a new four room school with an auditorium was built in 1915. In September of 1926, the current school building opened with 750 students.
St. Philip Neri School mission: The faculty and staff of St. Philip Neri School accept the responsibility and commit ourselves to model and guide our students toward spiritual development, Catholic Christian values, academic success, social responsibility, and positive self-image and self-worth.
St. Philip Neri is committed to stressing its Catholic identity and its Christian focus as a stabilizing force in the life of our students.
In the 2005-06 school year, St. Philip Neri School became part of Mother Theodore Catholic Academies of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis.
