St. Andrew and St. Rita Catholic Academy in Indianapolis

St. Andrew the Apostle School was established in 1947. Prior to 1995 St. Andrew the Apostle School was comprised of two components: Small World (preschool through kindergarten) and St. Andrew School (grades 1-8). Small World and St. Andrew School merged into one education facility in 1995.

St. Rita Catholic School was established in 1918 and later merged with St. Bridget Parish. On November 8, 1953 a new St. Rita school and gymnasium was completed and opened in 1954.

St. Andrew the Apostle School and St. Rita Catholic School merged in 2002 and is located at the St. Andrew parish site, 4050 E. 38th Street. At the time of the merger, the school was renamed St. Andrew & St. Rita Catholic Academy.

St. Andrew & St. Rita Catholic Academy mission: St. Andrew & St. Rita Catholic Academy educates all children in a safe and caring Christ centered environment. We are committed to establish a partnership between parents, teachers, and children by developing our children spiritually, socially, emotionally, and academically. We serve the family and community by building leaders who gain and grow in knowledge to secure a strong future.

In the 2005-06 school year, St. Andrew and St. Rita Catholic Academy became part of Mother Theodore Catholic Academies of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis.
