Ways to Support Catholic Charities

Financially:

    • Your donation will be processed electronically using secure technology.
    • If you would prefer to send a check or set up a recurring gift through your checking or savings account, please contact Cheri Bush, Director of Mission Advancement for Catholic Charities at cbush@archindy.org or 317-236-1411.
  • Planned Giving:
    • Planned giving combines your personal and financial goals to help meet your charitable giving objectives. There are many options available for charitable giving in circumstances that otherwise may not allow you to provide a charitable contribution to the Church. These options include:
      • Gifts of Stock
      • Donor Advised Funds
      • IRA Giving
      • Estate Planning
    • Catholic Charities receives gifts of stock, IRA RMD and donor advised funds grants with the assistance of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. While the gift is made to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Indianapolis, please know that your gift will benefit the ministry area you designate.  This is a service provided to assist all donors and agency staff.  Resources and assistance for gifts of Stock, IRA Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) and Donor Advised Fund (DAF) grants can be found at www.archindy.org/CCF.  Please contact ccf@archindy.org or call 317-236-1482 for additional assistance.” in place of “Find out more about Planned Giving Options”
  • Vehicle Donations:
    • Help make a difference by donating your unwanted vehicle. Proceeds from the sale of your car donation will help provide affordable help and hope to the most vulnerable.

Item Donations

Here are some of the urgent needs of our programs.

Refugee Resettlement Program
Currently the Refugee Resettlement Program needs:

  1. Pots and pans
  2. Can openers
  3. Dish soap, bathroom and kitchen cleaners
  4. Shaving cream and deodorant
  5. Waste baskets
  6. Shower curtain rings
  7. Kitchen tables and chairs (do not have to be matching)
  8. Couches

Crisis Office

Currently the Crisis Office needs:

  1. Non-perishable, nutritious food items such as: tuna, pork and beans, spaghetti, spaghetti sauce (in cans), soup, peanut butter, cereal, canned stews, rice and rice mixes, pasta mixes.
  2. Laundry detergent, toilet paper, shampoo, deodorant, dish detergent, shaving cream.
  3. Children’s clothing, men’s pants, men’s shoes and new socks for children and adults.

Donations can be dropped off at the Crisis Office Monday - Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1435 N. Illinois. For other arrangements, call (317) 236-1556.


Holy Family Shelter

Currently Holy Family Shelter needs:

  1. Powdered Drink Mixes (Lemonade, Kool Aid, etc.)
  2. Ground Coffee
  3. Jelly and Peanut Butter
  4. Boys’ Underwear (sizes XS-S) & Women’s Underwear (sizes 5-12)
  5. Canned Vegetables & Canned Fruit
  6. Bread (sliced, hamburger buns & hot dog buns)
  7. Twin Size Fitted Sheets
  8. Baby Bottles
  9. Size 5-6 Diapers

St. Elizabeth | Coleman

Currently St. Elizabeth | Coleman needs:

  3. Infant Onesies & Sleepers (boys & girls)
  4. Gently used Clothing: Infant/Toddler
  5. Gently use School Uniforms

  9. Dish Washing Liquid
  10. Shampoo / Conditioner
  11. Laundry Detergent
