About us
Catholic Charities Indianapolis was founded in 1919 to serve the poor and hurting of the Indianapolis community. These programs provide quality services in counseling, individual and family support, eldercare, crisis relief and shelter, and pregnancy and adoption services.
In 2008-09 Catholic Charities Indianapolis programs served 33,385 people (23,740 unduplicated). Among those served, the majority are women and children, who live below the federal poverty level. Because of the generosity of our donors and volunteers we have been able to continue to provide quality services to more individuals and families in need.
