PCL Skills Series

Parish Catechetical Leader (PCL) Skills Series

Parish leaders often give of themselves so selflessly to the parishes and communities they serve that taking time away from parish life to meet their own needs seems almost impossible. Yet, the formation of professional leaders, whether paid or voluntary, is an important part of enhancing the work they do each day. The Office of Catechesis wants to provide you, the local parish catechetical leader, with the tools you need to be as successful as possible!

Each fall and spring the Office of Catechesis offers a day-long Skills Series formation event for parish catechetical leaders. Our current series began in the fall of 2017 with the first of six topics.

This series is designed so you can attend any series gathering, even if you have not attended the previously offered sessions. So join us when you can in Edinburgh, IN!

Who can attend?

All parish catechetical leaders, including paid and volunteer, full-time and part-time DREs, CREs, youth ministers, pastoral associates, coordinators of adult faith formation, RCIA, and sacrament preparation. If you work in ministry at a parish, this probably will benefit you!

When is this and what topic are we exploring with the help of an experienced facilitator?

Our Spring 2018 date is Tuesday, February 6 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Fall 2017 – Called by Name: Preparing Yourself for the Vocation of Catechetical Leader
Spring 2018 – Catechetical Leadership: What It Should Look Like, How It Should Work, and Whom It Should Serve
